WOMEN BUILD HOUSE-Volunteers will measure, cut, & install the drywall throughout the interior of this newly constructed house!

AGE REQUIREMENT: 16+. 16 & 17 year olds cannot use power tools

No one under 16 is permitted on the work site. However, certain tasks (namely roof work) require volunteers to be 18 or older. If you are unsure about this shift’s age requirement, please refer back to the shift listing or contact HFHC Volunteer Services.

If a volunteer registers him/herself for the shift via HFHC’s online registration system, he/she does not need to fill out a hardcopy of the Standard Release of Liability Form (it will have been read and electronically signed). However, If a HFHC staff member or a group leader registered on his/her behalf, please have the volunteer fill out a hardcopy waiver beforehand or upon arrival to site.

Lunch is not provided by HFHC unless otherwise advised by HFHC staff. Drinking water and all necessary tools & safety equipment will be provided by HFHC. Closed-toed footwear (work boots or athletic sneakers only) is required. We recommend bringing your own work gloves, if available.

The HFHC staff makes every effort to keep build schedules on track. However, due to occasional inclement weather and necessary adjustments to house schedules, your group’s task is subject to change. We will confirm as the shift date approaches .

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

Once you register through the Business Sorority site, we will send you the Business Sorority group information to sign up directly on the Habitat website as a volunteer.
