About the event

“Stay Inside Your Hula Hoop; focus on what you can control”

When people focus on what’s inside their hula hoop, like mindset, they own their power and can control how they react to things that happen in life. A positive mindset is like a muscle and can be trained by making small, daily changes.

Staying inside your hula hoop is easy when you know the tricks. Did you know you can train your mindset like you do your muscles- every freaking day! Just by doing a few small things consistently, you can build up that mindset muscle and then when life comes at you, you’re strong enough to stay focused on your goals.

  1. Show up for yourself! Get up and start your day by doing something just for you. Make your bed, put your gym clothes on and exercise, journal, read, stretch, meditate. Whatever that combination looks like for you; create a routine and do it.
  2. Be grateful for what you have.  Write down your gratitudes and notice when you are grateful throughout the day.
  3. When your brain is focused on fear or negative thoughts, train it to think about the positive. It’s similar to when you’re lifting weights and you push yourself to try something heavier. When you do it, you prove to your brain that you can do hard things when you decide to try and not let fear stop you. That confidence in your strength and power carries into other parts of your life too. The next time you have a tough project or situation, you will feel more capable to jump in and take action.
