About the event

When Nicole Sodoma opened the doors to Sodoma Law in 2008, it was with the intention of building a different kind of law firm – a “family firm” that showed commitment to her clients, to her team and to her community.  Over time, this concept evolved into “The Sodoma Way”.

In its first 12 months, Sodoma Law grey from 1 to 12 employees, rapidly growing her practice and brand while adhering to her core values and culture.  The firm quickly became recognized as one of the fastest growing and best family law firms in North Carolina, attracting the most talented legal professionals in the region.  Twelve years later, Sodoma Law has four offices across two states with 20 fearless attorneys.  With Nicole at the helm, the firm is led by a leadership team, and administrative team and a “culture crew” that brings it all together.

In this exciting and inspiring talk, you will learn what it takes to create, grow and a company culture while Nicole Sodoma shares her entrepreneurial journey and #theSodomaWay.

About the Speaker:

Over the past 25 years, Nicole Sodoma has been recognized not only for her commitment to her clients, but for her entrepreneurship, vision, and community involvement. As a family law attorney with a fresh perspective and contacts in the business and legal communities, she was able to learn the ever-evolving intricacies of family law while actively advancing her reputation of consistently meeting the needs of her clients. Her leadership statement has always been, “Don’t ask why you can’t do something. Ask why you are not already doing it?” She has been noted by Business Leader Magazine as a Charlotte Mover & Shaker and has earned one of Charlotte’s 50 Top Entrepreneur Awards. She has also been recognized as a 50 Most Influential Woman by the Mecklenburg Times, an award that is given to prominent women in business, government, law, education and not-for profit fields. In addition, Nicole has been honored with multiple years of recognition as a Super Lawyer and Legal Elite for North Carolina.

In 2022 Nicole is taking her advocacy to the next level by sharing her knowledge, insight, and expertise in her debut book: Please Don’t Say You’re Sorry. Described as an “empowering perspective on marriage, separation, and divorce from a marriage-loving divorce attorney,” in PDSYS Nicole provides advice to help sustain real and happy marriages, recognize when that’s just not possible, and know what to expect and do from there. What’s more, she offers all of this with a generous dose of humor to remind you that you can and will laugh again.
