After realizing there was no organization dedicated to addressing heart disease prevention in her community, heart attack survivor Sheila Caldwell felt that her mission was to help more women learn their risk for the disease and how to win the fight against our #1 killer.  Sheila along with a group of women including co-founder Deb King created the concept of what would become The Heart2Heart Foundation.   In this dynamic and possibly life-saving talk, you will learn:

• The risk factors for heart disease in women
• How to identify signs of a heart attack in women (they are VERY different than for men!)
• Lifestyle changes you can make today to increase your heart health and reduce your risk of a heart attack

OUR SPEAKER:

In addition to being an award-winning media personality and producer, Sheila Caldwell has 20+ years of experience serving with international, national and local nonprofit organizations as well as the founding of The Heart2Heart Foundation in 2012. As a speaker, writer and certified health coach, she has shared her personal message of not just surviving a heart attack but learning to thrive again. Through The Heart2Heart Foundation, she and her volunteers have provided free educational resources to thousands of adults and youth.

Sheila is a Community Leader with #YorkCountySCGives / #GivingTuesday Campaign, a co-leader of the York County Interagency Coalition and a #Survivors Have Heart Champion with Bob Harper. Sheila also serves with The Heart Truth/Healthy Hearts Network,  Impact York County Coalition, Catawba Nation Wellness Warriors and on the York County Paramedic Advisory Board.

She and her husband, Bill, have 5 children and 11 awesome grandchildren.
