As business leaders when chaos happens, it’s important to be able to manage through the chaos and thrive. Without well-defined processes, businesses can quickly become overwhelmed by complex and rapidly changing demands. This can lead to confusion, inefficiencies, and a lack of accountability, making it difficult to maintain momentum and grow. In this session “Turning Chaos Into Clarity” we will learn strategies for leaders to apply to create clarity and drive effective leadership.

Doryce “Mia” Williams is business leader, teacher, mentor, and motivational speaker. She is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Women Doing Our Own Thing, a Business Process Improvement Consulting company dedicated to helping organizations and leaders more consistent so they can develop a mindset for success.
Mia proudly served her country for over 20 years as a Knowledge Operations Manager in the United States Air Force. She participated in both stateside and overseas assignments, receiving numerous awards and decorations throughout her career. Her assignments afforded her the opportunity to work with local and foreign dignitaries and high-ranking military officials. She completed temporary duty travel assignments overseas, assisted USAF Special Forces, and, prior to her retirement, she was stationed at the Joint Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Mia is also a 9/11 Pentagon survivor.
After military retirement, Mia transitioned into the corporate sector as a Senior Business Process Engineer Consultant. Mia has 25+ years of comprehensive knowledge of process improvement with underlying Lean Six Sigma and Agile principles, approaches, and methodology. She performs training, coaching, and mentorship to support organizational leaders, solve problems and build new capabilities.
Mia’s educational achievements includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland, and a Master’s in Business Administration from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri. She is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Agile Transformational Professional.
Mia is currently a Peer Leader and Bridges Guide with the Womens Veteran Network. She mentors other women veterans and assists new veterans through the immediate transition to the civilian world. She was recently selected by the BoB Woodruff Foundation to spotlight her work in this organization. Mia is a avid supporter of the South Carolina Women In Leadership were the mission is to inform, involve, and inspire women leaders. She also enjoys working with The Life House Women’s Shelter, a community collaborative that offers safe shelter, warm meals, access to laundry and shower services, fellowship, and case management to women in need in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Mia delivers inspirational messages to organizations and conference audiences around the country as a testament to her ability to motivate, energize, and provide teams with real takeaways that they can implement the minute they walk out the door. Her keynote speeches challenges and inspires.
